GETTING UP

 
Jack Dempsey once observed that "A Champion is one who gets up when he can't."

Those are the ones we applaud, the ones who give it all they've got and more.

Those are the champs in any field.

What is it that allows you to get up when you can't?

What is it that empowers you to go on when everything inside you is screaming to quit?

It is something bigger than yourself that draws you out, a commitment to family, a sense of moral integrity, love of country, sense of duty, a desire to win.

For as the old proverb says, "Winners never quit and quitters never win."
